Welcome

 

First Presbyterian Church of Stephenville, Texas, is one of the 11,000 congregations of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in the United States of America.  Established in 1860, this congregation will celebrate 150 year of ministry in the city of Stephenville and Erath County in 2010.  Rooted and grounded in the Reformed Tradition of the Protestant Church, this congregation has responded to the physical and spiritual needs of the people of this community through worship, mission, and the study of God’s Word.

 

We are a small congregation, but our eighty-five members are actively involved in mission, community affairs and in ministry to those in need.  Our Wednesday evening youth program presents God’s word through age-adjusted, tested curriculum materials with a solid Biblical foundation, caring teachers, good food, family fun and fellowship.  This ministry touches the lives of our youth in many ways.  Adult activities include Bible studies, Presbyterian Men’s Fellowship, Presbyterian Women, and Adult Sunday School each Sunday morning.

 

We invite you to join us for a joyful celebration of our life in Christ through our traditional worship service on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM.  In addition, there are many opportunities to explore God’s word and its relevance to our lives through Bible study, fellowship, and community service.  Through these, we all grow in our faith and become better disciples of Jesus Christ.  We have no magic formula, just a God who loves us, a Savior who has redeemed us, people who can teach us, and those who are willing to walk with us on the road of life.  We are located on Harbin Drive, right across from the Optimist Jaycee Park.
