*PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Loving and Almighty God, you have called us together as your Church, the demonstration of your love in action day to day. We confess that we often stray from your purpose for us as the Body of Christ. We are distracted by fears and caught up in worries. We are blinded to those you call us to love within our walls and beyond them. Open our eyes, Loving God. Open our hearts and our minds that we might focus fully on serving you. Help us to be faithful and to change according to your calling, that we might focus our lives on your purposes for us. Amen.

* SILENT PRAYERS OF PERSONAL CONFESSION

*ASSURANCE OF PARDON

We welcome all who visit with us this morning. This is the house of God. He is here. Leave it not without a prayer. Give thanks for those who in past years built this place to his glory, and for those who live and work to preserve this heritage. If you are considering a church home, we invite you to become a member of our Christian fellowship. The minister or a member of the session will be happy to assist you in this process.

In the back of the pews, you will find an attendance registration booklet. We would appreciate it very much if you would register your attendance with us this morning. Thank you in advance!

Please join us for the Sunday afternoon Prayer Fellowship at 5PM in the Sanctuary. Everyone is welcome!

The Presbyterian Women will be meeting on Saturday at 11AM for Bible Study and will follow with their monthly salad luncheon and business meeting.

Next Sunday, February 12th, the Didache Class will begin a study of “Books You’ve Probably Never Read” (which have influenced your faith). Among the writings of the early church are a number of books and documents that were prominent at the time, but did not make it into the New Testament canon. These writings, which were well-known in the time of the early church are not well-known today, and have not been read by most Christians. Please join us as we begin our new lessons at 9:45 a.m. next Sunday.

Reverend Babb will be in the church office on Wednesday of this week from 9:30am to 4:30pm. The pastor is available to serve individuals or families in time of need. If you desire personal counsel, would like for him to visit in your home, or wish any kind of pastoral care or service, please contact him by phone or drop by the church during office hours.
