*PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Awesome God, we come to confess the many ways we have failed you.  We are a sinful people who forget to lift up prayers of thanksgiving, and who have neglected to consult with you about the decisions we have made.  We have sought the safety of familiar programs, even when they are ineffective.  We cling to the routines we have established, even when they cause us to lose sight of your purpose.  We are people of unclean lips, dwelling among people who deny your presence and power.  O God, we fall down before you, seeking your forgiveness.  Amen.

We welcome all who visit with us this morning. This is the house of God. He is here. Leave it not without a prayer. Give thanks for those who in past years built this place to his glory, and for those who live and work to preserve this heritage. If you are considering a church home, we invite you to become a member of our Christian fellowship. The minister or a member of the session will be happy to assist you in this process.
