*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Awesome God, we
come to confess the many ways we have failed you. We are a sinful people who
forget to lift up prayers of thanksgiving, and who have neglected to consult
with you about the decisions we have made. We have sought the safety of
familiar programs, even when they are ineffective. We cling to the routines we
have established, even when they cause us to lose sight of your purpose. We
are people of unclean lips, dwelling among people who deny your presence and power.
O God, we fall down before you, seeking your forgiveness. Amen.
* SILENT PRAYERS OF PERSONAL CONFESSION
*ASSURANCE OF PARDON

beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Christ?” E McLemore & J Parker

Who am I in Christ?
Who am I in Him?
Help me understand,
O Lord, who I am in Christ. Who I am in Christ.
Chosen by God,
blessed by His hand,
Redeemed by His
blood, forgiven I stand.
Bound by His love,
Kept ‘til the end,
His finest treasure
and friend.
Chorus
Temple of God, House of
the Lord,
Seeking His face,
my greatest reward.
One with His body,
Held by His grace,
Surrounded by His
embrace.

THE PROCLAMATION OF GOD’S WORD The
Reverend Doug McLemore
*HYMN No. 251 “Your
Faithfulness, O Lord, Is Sure”
*AFFIRMATION
OF FAITH The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker
of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived
by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose
again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of
God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of
the saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life
everlasting. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be

THE FLOWERS IN THE
SANCTUARY

sanctuary today are given to the glory of God and in celebration of the
birthday of Betty Meers, which was on Friday.
We welcome all
who visit with us this morning. This is the house of God. He is here. Leave it
not without a prayer. Give thanks for those who in past years built this place
to his glory, and for those who live and work to preserve this heritage. If you
are considering a church home, we invite you to become a member of our
Christian fellowship. The minister or a member of the session will be happy to
