First Presbyterian Church of Stephenville, Texas, is one of the 11,000 congregations of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in the United States of America.  Established in 1860, this congregation has served the people of Erath County and the city of Stephenville for more than 140 years.  Rooted and grounded in the Reformed Tradition of the Protestant Church, this congregation has responded to the physical and spiritual needs of the people of this community through worship, mission, and the study of God’s Word.

 

Our 95 members are actively involved in community affairs and in ministry to those in need.  Our Wednesday evening youth program presents God’s word through age-adjusted, tested curriculum materials with a solid Biblical foundation, caring teachers, good food, family fun and fellowship.  This ministry touches the lives of more than 40 youth each week.  Our Young Adult and College Student Ministry reaches the lives of Tarleton students and other young adults, giving them opportunities to explore life through Bible study and group discussion, as well as fellowship activities.  Other adult fellowship activities include our coffee fellowship on Tuesday morning, our communal “Share-A-Meal” lunch on Thursdays, a variety of different Bible studies, mission and outreach activities, and worship.

 

We invite you to join us for a joy-filled traditional worship service on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM and explore the many opportunities we offer to help you grow in your faith and become a better disciple of Jesus Christ.  We have no magic formula, just a God who loves us, a Savior who has redeemed us, people who can teach us, and those who are willing to walk with us on the road of life.  We are located on Harbin Drive, right across from the Optimist Jaycee Park.
